The newly available 3.0-liter turbodiesel V7 is rated at 254 horsepower and receives an EPA estimated 22 city mpg and 29 highway mpg. The new turbodiesel engine is available on either SE or HSE trim. Both Supercharged and Autobiography models receive a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine with 510 horsepower and the SV Autobiography model gets a tweaked version of the 5.0-liter engine that is good for 550 horsepower.
All 2016 Range Rover models come with standard Terrain Response system which provides five driver-selectable terrain modes with distinct powertrain, suspension and traction-control settings. The optional Terrain Response 2 system adds an adaptive mode that senses surface conditions and adjusts settings accordingly. The all-Terrain Progress Control adds Hill Descent Control by maintaining a driver-specified speed regardless of terrain incline.
